Visa applicants will be requested to come for personal interview to High Commission of India, Islamabad when required. Please ensure that correct contact telephone numbers are given in your application form. Time and date of such interviews shall be fixed in consultation with the applicant.

Pakistanis holding dual nationality must apply only on their Pakistani passports. Foreign passport holders of Pakistani origin may kindly submit the online visa application form along with foreign passport with valid Pakistani visa or copy of Pakistan Overseas Card.
Visa will not be endorsed on a passport with less than 6 months validity from the time of proposed journey. Please also note that visa will not be issued to children, whose names are endorsed in their parent’s passport. Please apply on a separate passport visa requests for children. All previous passports should be attached. This is not required if the current passport has an Indian visa. In case any previous passport cannot be attached, an affidavit stating the loss of passport and copy of FIR translated into English may be provided.

When collecting your visa please ensure that, apart from the visa affixed in your passport, you also receive two copies of immigration sheets(one each for every entry & every exit) which you will be required to carry when traveling to India and present it at the immigration point along with your passport.
Acceptance of the visa application forms does not guarantee issuance of visa. The issuance of visa, its type and duration are determined on the merits of each case. The High Commission reserves the right not to assign any reason for issuance / not issuance of a particular type of visa.
Visa issued to Pakistan nationals are city specific and ordinarily visa is endorsed only for visit to 5 (five) places.
The visa is valid from the date of its issue and not from the date of entry into India. Applicants may like to keep this in mind before filling in the required duration. Please do not finalize your travel arrangements to India before ascertaining the visa requirements and obtaining the visa.
Police reporting/registration: All Pakistani nationals, except those holding Indian visas endorsed “exempted from police reporting”, will be required to register himself/herself at the nearest police station / Foreigners Registration Officer (FRO) / Foreigners Regional Registration Officer (FRRO) within 24 hours of reaching the specified place of stay. He/ She will report his/her arrival in person, in writing. He / She will also make a similar report 24 hours prior to his / her intended time/ date of departure from each place of stay to the Registration Authority. Please note that visitors are not required to register with the police station, if they are only transiting a particular city and not going to stay overnight.
In the case of families, only one member of the family will be required to appear before the registration authority for registering himself/herself.
In case of medical visa, bonafide patients as well as accompanying attendants shall register with the FRRO/FRO concerned within 7 days of arrival.
A bonafide Pakistani business person coming on a business visit, can personally report to police for registration or depute an authorized representative to report arrival, in writing, to the registration authority or the nearest police station within 24 hours of his/her reaching the specified place. The authorised representative shall also make a similar report on his/her behalf 24 hours prior to his/ her intended departure from each place of stay.
A Pakistani national holding a transit visa, valid for a period not exceeding 36 hours, will be required to register only at the Immigration point of entry.
Surrogacy Arrangement: “Any person seeking a visa to India for purpose of entering into a surrogacy arrangement must ascertain beforehand whether the law of that country permits surrogacy and will provide appropriate travel documents to the child for accompanying the surrogate parents. Entering into surrogacy arrangement under any other visa not sought for surrogacy is punishable under the Indian law.”
On receipt of visas and immigration sheets, applicants are requested to verify all particulars on the visa. In case of any discrepancy, applicants are advised to get in touch with High Commission immediately, before undertaking the visit. The High Commission will not be responsible for any inconvenience to the applicants due to discrepancies, not brought to the notice of High Commission.
